In a village near Pskov, a small town in western Russia, Fyodor, a schoolteacher, lives peacefully with his six-year-old daughter Alyona. Alyona is a lively little girl, curious about everything, while her father dreams of traveling. One day, a twist of fate gives them the opportunity to leave for Paris.
